The Sheikh Zayed Knowledge Center (SZKC)

Bertelsmann AG assigned cutup GmbH, in cooperation with other companies, to develop the concept for a multimedia knowledge center in Abu Dhabi, the Vision of a library of the future: » The Sheikh Zayed Knowledge Center «.

The Knowlege Center - Access

As part of the access team (browser-based services) we developed the information architecture and media structure which would make it possible to discover and present the different forms of contextually netWorked information from a number of points of view and in the best possible way.
The browser-based services are the direct interface between the user, the real world and the virtual world of the Sheikh Zayed Knowledge Centre, and they form a link between the visitor’s interests, whether he is a physical visitor to the Centre or a virtual visitor via the Internet, and the knowledge of responses from the Living Library.
The browser-based services offer a complete cross-media link of the total inventory and are an integrated, transparent and extensive platform as a “Playful journey of exploration”, as well as for professional research and Work within the Knowledge Centre. In doing this, it is not important whether the visit takes place “on site” or whether the World of Knowledge is accessed via the Internet – the comprehensive functionality is accessible from anywhere as a whole and via all media.
